Researcher biography

Tammy is a proud First Nations woman, respecting her Palawa/Pakana ancestors (TAS) & the Anindilyakwa mob on Groote Eylandt where she was raised, and first introduced to Aboriginal Traditional Healings. With Tammy’s knowledge and passion for traditional healings, spirituality, and culture, her PhD is based on Aboriginal Traditional Healing and its role in modern day Australia, specifically with the psychology of First Nations people. Tammy is currently working as a psychologist with an Aboriginal Health Service in Darwin NT.  She has the passion and commitment to find a way to combine traditional and western knowledge for the best psychological outcomes for our mob Australia wide.
