The Research Alliance for Urban Goori Health (RAUGH) team is a tripartite association between UQ’s Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) and the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH). Our aims are to close the gap in life expectancy and achieve health equality for urban First Peoples in greater Brisbane North, through applied research in priority areas in healthcare pathways - across the continuum of care and across the lifespan. Our projects include health system research and evaluation in areas including acute and primary care, emergency medicine, mental health care, chronic disease management, rehabilitation, perinatal care, and institutional racism.
