Mr Tariqujjaman is an enthusiastic public health researcher who has completed Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Statistics, Biostatistics, and Informatics, as well as an additional Master’s degree in Population Sciences, all from the University of Dhaka. He previously worked as an Assistant Scientist at icddr,b (International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research of Bangladesh) and has nearly ten years of research experience, primarily in maternal and childhood malnutrition.
His research interests include maternal and child health, infant and young child feeding practices, mental health, and non-communicable diseases. In 2020, he received a Young Scientist Grant from icddr,b and later secured a grant from the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Canada, for research on maternal and infant nutrition and growth.
He has authored over 50 peer‑reviewed publications in leading international journals, including The Lancet eClinical Medicine, WHO Bulletin, PLOS ONE, BMJ Open, and Public Health Nutrition, and has served as first author on 11 papers.
