
Claudio is the Senior Data Scientist at the University of Queensland, Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. He leads the development and management of data infrastructure and analytics products for the ATLAS Indigenous Primary Care Surveillance Network. The ATLAS Network has been developed in partnership with Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisations to better explain the longstanding disparity in sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses (BBVs) among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Claudio earned his PhD in Computer Science from The University of Newcastle, Australia. His expertise lies at the crossroads of data science, software engineering, and solving complex computational challenges. Claudio is passionate about enabling smarter decision-making through data and Decision Intelligence, transforming raw information into actionable insights that drive practical outcomes. With extensive experience in applied research, he has contributed to transformative projects across diverse industries, including online platforms, logistics, and healthcare. His work focuses on bridging the gap between data and strategic decisions, empowering organisations to thrive in data-driven environments. In his role at ATLAS, Claudio is committed to promoting ethical data practices, developing inclusive analytics solutions, and advancing decision-making to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
