Dr. Wathsala currently serves as a Data Analyst at the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health at the University of Queensland. She is actively involved in the ATLAS Indigenous Primary Care Surveillance Network, where her role focuses on analyzing health data and producing comprehensive and interactive reports. Wathsala holds a PhD in Data Science from Queensland University of Technology, with a research background in data mining, particularly the development of machine learning algorithms tailored to real-world text data challenges. Her research interests include unsupervised text clustering and predictive data mining.
