Renee Caple is a proud Mitakoodi woman from Cloncurry who graduated from Cloncurry State School P-12. She participated in the Let’s Yarn About Sleep program in 2023, where she developed an interest in becoming a Sleep Coach. This interest led her to the role of Clinical Research Assistant. With further training, she hopes to become a Sleep Coach and enhance her community's awareness of sleep health and its benefits for mental health.

Renee has always been passionate about connecting with and supporting Indigenous young people in her community, particularly in navigating mental health challenges. Recognising the limited resources and programs available, she found a starting point with the Let's Yarn About Sleep program. This initiative allows her to pursue her interest and passion by educating her community about healthy sleeping habits, which she has learned are crucial to mental well-being.
