Researcher biography

Sura Alwash graduated from medical school with a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and General Surgery from the Babylon College of Medicine in 2004. Following that Sura finished 2 and a half years of internship at Babylon Health directorate. Her subsequent master’s degree in medical physiology was titled “Physiological Study of Some Hematological and Biochemical Parameters in Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy” in 2011. Then she worked as a lecturer in medical school and as a part-time general practitioner.

Sura moved to Australia in 2014 with her family and finished her medical qualification and observership in Queensland. She obtained a UQ Graduate School Scholarship (UQGSS) as a domestic student in 2019.
