Researcher biography

Dr Prabha Lakhan is a Senior Research Officer at the Southern Queensland Centre of Excellence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care. She research interest related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health include health literacy, hepatitis C, prevalence of visual impairment, chronic kidney disease and urinary incontinence. Her other clinical and health services areas of research include systematic reviews and evidence-based practice; adverse outcomes of older hospitalised patients; hospital associated infections; pain management in children; dysphagia management; needs of parents of children with acquired brain damage; and new nurseĀ  graduate conceptions of competence.
