
Samima has a background in Management, with specialisation in Human Resource Management. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Islamic University, Bangladesh and subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration in Management from the same institution. Additionally, she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), Dhaka. Hira began her professional career as a Lecturer at the Ishwardi Govt. College in Pabna, Bangladesh. She is very passionate about strengths-based research and is committed to improving public health through advancing management of human resources in health sectors to ensure the best quality of on-demand care. Her primary research interests include health systems, maternal and child health, women’s health, and non-communicable diseases including mental health. Samima is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. She is currently working on several scientific manuscripts.
