
Chantelle Coppens is a proud Torres Strait Islander woman with strong family ties to Badu Island. Chantelle was born and raised on Gulngay and Jirrbal Country (Tully) and now residing and raising her family on Mamu country (Innisfail). Chantelle has an extensive background in administration and her last role was as a Deadly Choices Healthy Lifestyle Officer based at the local Aboriginal Health Service in Innisfail. In her time at Deadly Choice, she has thoroughly enjoyed working and engaging with community across the Cassowary Coast region. Chantelle found the role to be encouraging and empowering, engaging our next generation to make better choices and prioritise their health was rewarding.
