About the Speaker
A/Prof Renae Kirkham is a senior research fellow and Deputy lead of the Diabetes across Lifecourse Northern Australia Partnership, within the Wellbeing and Preventable Chronic Diseases division of Menzies. Renae is a qualitative researcher with experience in implementation science. Renae co-leads the Youth Type 2 Diabetes Project across Northern Australia (including work across the NT, FNQ and Kimberley), along with the Merne Merte Artweye Areye-ka Childhood Diabetes Prevention Program in Central Australia. She is also a lead investigator on the Diabetes in Pregnancy co-design project (in the NT&FNQ). Renae supervises a large team across Northern Australia, including multiple HDR students.
