Maria Lawton is a proud Ghungalu, Bidjara and Kamilaroi woman. Maria grew up on Darumbal country (Rockhampton). She has been living in Meanjin (Brisbane) for about five years.

Maria is the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health’s Administration Assistant. She is super excited about her role as one of her passions is to work with an organisation involved with mob. Maria is currently a part of the Operations Team, but one of her goals is to work with in communities and build her connection with mob, as she is a very passionate, bubbly and loves being in and around country.
