Researcher biography

Janet is a Yidinji-Jirrbal woman from Far North Queensland who grew up in Brisbane. Her work experience is in community development, community services, clinical services, project and program management, policy and research roles across the Aboriginal community controlled, public, not-for-profit and university sectors. Janet is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Public Health.

Janet joined the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health Research, University of Queensland in June 2018 as a Research Officer and is currently working on the project “Moving beyond the front line: A 20 year retrospective cohort study of career trajectories from the Indigenous Health Program at the University of Queensland”.
